Im assuming when I order - the download is the latest release and I only need to add any new cumulative updates each week or is it trickier

One issue.. I dont see any track anywhere.. Do I need to dl scale rail separately

Yes. ScaleRail is separate and is required.

Thx Marc. I installed all the scale rail options and the track has appeared... I do have some issues though where the track just then disappears/runs out (crossing bridges etc).. Im wondering if its either because Im using OR or its simply because I cant find many details as to whats pending/unfinished etc.. Then again maybe I have done something dumb in my installation... I have mainly used RW or trainsim 2017 (or whatever they have decided to call it this week) before so Im a bit behind (if that makes sense) with MSTS and its setup.

 

Anyway well done - the quality of this work puts the plastic look of RW to shame...

Track is complete and should be visible. Have you looked through the OR error log?

Think I may have solved this down to the fact the laptop may be struggling with the amount of work.. No probs on the main PC and I installed the same way. I did try increasing some view distances in OR on the laptop but that caused a crash. Log below.

The only real issue I see is a warning regarding a road track node, but should not prevent you from running the route. There are, however, a few other issues with content not related to Sherman Hill.
