I hope this is the right place to post this question...

I recently bought ScaleRail and ScaleRoad to use with an add on route (Fraser and Cariboo from Milepost Simulations) for Train Simulator 2016 which runs on Steam. I have an SSD drive on my computer for the operating system and the Steam games are on a separate drive. When I start the installer for ScaleRail or ScaleRoad and the screen comes up asking me where I want to install it, the field is blank. Where should I install the program?

The steam folder on the seperate drive lists the app as 'RailWorks':

F:\STEAM_BIG_FOLDER\steamapps\common\RailWorks

Should ScaleRail and ScaleRoad be installed in the RailWorks directory or in some directory inside the RailWorks directory? Or somewhere else?

I'm also wondering if the textures (like 'SR_Targets_Low_Standard' or 'SR_Standard_DarkGrey') should be installed in:

F:\STEAM_BIG_FOLDER\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Content\Routes\TEXTURES
or maybe:
F:\STEAM_BIG_FOLDER\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Content\Routes\TEXTURES\SNOW

I hope these questions make sense, and thanks for any help.
Doug

In your case, files should be installed to STEAM_BIG_FOLDER\steamapps\common\railworks folder. :)

Cheers!

This was very helpful. I came here to ask essentially the exact same question, under the exact same circumstances.
