Wow! Tehachapi in RailWorks would be nothing short of stunning. biggrin.gif Your command of the "environment" and the details (down to the tie plates and spikes) sets your work apart from the rest. I still run your Tehachapi II route enhancement for MSTS on a high-powered laptop, and it has not lost any of its luster! Your contributions live on and on as the sim world evolves. Looking forward... wink.gif

Hi Marc,

You are the leading light with environmental items.
We just need to get OR to be able to use these items. :-)

cheers

Thanks! Tell ya' what - I'll trade some environment tweaks for some distant mountain ones. To me, that's the one visual lacking in RW at this point.

Cheers!

Marc, just out of curiosity, how does this route look at sunset with your environment tweaks? The screens look good so far.

Beautiful work Marc. Looking forward to the route... and the ScaleRail update. I could really use those searchlight signals for my WIP. Keep up the great work!

Any new screens? Hope this doesn't turn into vaporware as with so many routes under construction.
Really looking forward to this one. Take your time, I'll be watching.

It's been slow going. Mainly I've been working on roads and matching ground textures and also finished some details on a few buildings.

Just North of Mojave on Hwy 58:

Hwy 58 and Business 58 interchange:

Oak Creek Rd overpass and K St:

Old Desert Cafe @ Shasta St:

Best Motel and Mojave Liquor @ Trinity Ave:

Looking across from Fastrip gas station @ Mojave-Barstow Hwy:

I'll try and update more often. blush.gif

Marc, how did you manage to lighten up the entire half of the sky that the sun's on? Is there something in the TOD blueprint you can modify?

It's faked - I used a single image mapped to a sky dome model. It looks good, but has problems when running another route and then loading this one (something about the nature of rotating sky domes in other routes). It also doesn't change, and because it has a "sun" as part of the image, it looks funny at anything besides late morning ~ early afternoon. blush.gif

Cheers!

Lost me here, is this a new Railworks route?

I have recently bought Run 8, which also has Mojave, and I have it in Trainz and MSTS also.

Lots of barren and desolate desert in all the present incarnations of Mojave.

Hopefully, Marc's will be a little more 'liveable' and "decorated"

Are there really that many gas stations?
