Following on from Rascal & Cottonwood Rich Garber is nearing completion of his second route - no name at present, other than Trackplan 2. No definite date of release yet either, but it should be by the end of January.

Nice shots, Rod! smile.gif

BTW, moved this to screen shots so that others might see what they're missing in RS-land. wink.gif

Cheers!

Thanks Marc - did seem kind of a shame to hide them away rolleyes.gif

Working on a second set - as I type. Excellent "Rural Landscapes" btw, especially the hi-res textures

Amazing! Sadly my ole Dell got ate up by the Trojan that had been plauging me for months! So I lost all my projects along with all the msts materials, but I'll be back! Keep up the great work Rod

Good to hear from you Jonathan - seems like a long time - hope all is well with you (apart from the Dell sad.gif ).

Rich is indeed the master (or at least one of a rapidly increasing number of masters) - that is what is so heartening about this sim now - despite all the early naysayers, the sim is getting going, supported both by the end users and RSDL.

Rich putting his excellent MSTS objects to good use in the new sim.

Rich is getting way ahead of me with shots over at

http://www.3dtrains....mp;#entry128788

He is taking photos of places where I don't even have places rolleyes.gif

Never mind, tagging along, here are a few more...

What I really like about this sim is the relative ease with which very realistic vignettes can be created. Rich has always been a master of this (have a look at Canton, Ohio and East Metro smile.gif ) and he has certainly capitalised on the possibilities of this sim - ably assisted by Marc's fine Rural Landscapes and RSDL's Foliage Pack from time to time biggrin.gif

but all the time with the solid backdrop of Rich's own structures and modelling skills.

The route is moving on - Rich has place names (not with me yet rolleyes.gif - so I can't tell you where anywhere is). What is so astounding about this sim is the speed of creation, compared with MSTS.

A few more shots...

Rod

A bit more vegetation...and countryside - something this sim does very well indeed.
