The L&N Steam pack, in two parts, (3a and 3b) is now available on Avsim and Train-sim.

What do you get for your money?

Three USRA locos. A heavy mikado, light pacific and 0-8-0 switcher. Along with these is the new caboose. NOTE there is a new sound folder for the steam pack. When used as ai locos they will whistle at you!!! As only steam locos can of course!!! Oh yes and chuff or hiss.

Pack b holds the heavyweight passenger cars. I am not sure of the colours here as there appears to be a dearth of information on the net.

There is also an update to the 40ft gondola shape to give better colour rendition.

Dick,

Thanks for more L&N goodies...

I have Ron Flanary's "The L&N in The Appalachians" and there are but two photos of passenger trains in the entire book. The colors appear to be a deep indigo blue, with a grey stripe maybe 6" wide along the roofline. The entire roof appears to be either Pullman Green, or else incredibly filthy. As one shot is of a 1956 steam excursion, I would be inclined to believe the former premise.
