I have recently posted some pic's on "Streamlines"...and I know it is the competion.. but boy, I would like to generate more interest in the "Older Stuff". Play the St L & N.A......see what I mean. There are only so many "Wide cads, and Dash-9's" that a person can take. Imagine "form 19y's, Clearances....Train Order Boards, and Steam"...Much more Challenging!! Not to mention..Telegraphy...A whole new side, that could be incorporated. You "young guys and gal's"...don't turn a deaf ear. If you like railroading now...look into history...you'll love it even more.

I hope you enjoy the pic's!

Best Regards,

Galen

Well Galen ol' boy, you've come to the right place!!

Rod! Herb! Come'on you other steam fans... get in here an' let's light off the fires an' get up some steam!

Say now, Galen, see'n you've got some time on the StLNA route... are you ready to step back another decade and tackle some REAL railroading? In addition to the things you mention, how' bout:

* 4% grades?
* 1890s physics?
* Small power (compared to "modern" steam)?
* Helper service?
* Logging?
* Zinc mining?
* Interchanging with 3 different railroads on the same route?

Welcome to Ozark Northern country, the next route due from VSC! Here's a few Ozark Northern pics to keep this thread makin' steam!

WOW Andre!!!!,

How long for that??? Do yo need a route tester?? Heck, I fire locomotives for real..But I think you know that!

Can't wait to get that!

I hope other's will sound off and show the want for this. By the way, what ever happened to the Colorado Midland? Awesome pics of the power...was just curious.

Take Care,

Galen

Don't know how much longer on the Ozark Northern... in the final stages wrapping up all the things I procrastinated, and that seems to take forever.

The Colorado Midland was traded for the Ozark Northern. The CM is a neat railroad, but had a terminal illness: Long on scenery and short on revenue. This translates into weak "play value" for an entertainment product. (Such as an MSTS add-on.) The CM equipment pack, however, is going to be released soon after or soon before the Ozark Northern route.

Well, ya'll pardon me, but I've get off the 'puter an' got to go pull a throttle for a while. Should be back home in the wee hours of the mornin'. rolleyes.gif

Yeah, I realize this is an "older thread" (over a month ago since the last post), but I'm a little curious. Which add on is the cab forwards off of? I can't say I don't like steam, I do find it a chore to keep the reverser, throttle and steam in check so that I can not only keep from stalling out, but don't kill Art in the process. He didn't exactly rejoice the day I marked up on the North Arkansas. I just find first and early second generation diesel power neat. Maybe it's the exposure to them that I find neat. My background with diesel power is high hood GP9, GP20, F9, C420, RS1 and T6 for power. I haven't pulled throttles for a living ("yet", you never know; look to Andre for an example on that) but I've been around them enough to find them allot more interesting than the "Techno Toasters" from GE and the late model "Buicks and Pontiac" from GM/EMD.

The Cab forwards are from 3DTrainstuff's Donner Pass Route.
