Can I aska a favor? Would you please post a screen shot of engine #905? The gp-39.

I'm seaching thru all the payware manufacturers trying to find an engine close to this one: the reason is, it later became the only GP engine in our little town of Fergus Falls, MN. and we're trying to do a repaint of it. OTVR #3900 My avatar.

Thanks

Thanks alot. That shows what I needed to know.

And to the other guy, a lot of good everything here. When I first came here from L.A. in 92 - it's like sportsman's paradise here. Best fishing and hunting I've ever seen.

Just to update this post, I did buy the UP Superset... and the CSX, and the BN and the CNW..... smile.gif

Great stuff.

But I also wanted to let you guys know, if you haven't seen it yet - we did get that repaint done. My buddy Paul Watson did the majority of the paint, and it took Jeff Auberpine's shape file genius to make the SLI BN GP-38 into the GP39-2. I helped in my small way with different truck textures.

The engine is available at train-sim and trackside.

Thanks. These engines are very special. If you notice in the pictures, the radiator screen is much larger than normal. Why, I don't really know. But MKT ordered 20 of these special. Most of them went on to larger flags, and then either got parked or were sold to small regionals. If you look up the MKT GP39 at RR pictures, you can see the order numbers and her sisters.

Paul and I wanted to do something different and paint at least this one (if not all 20) in their original MKT, and each successive paint to date. For this particular engine, that meant the MKT, UP and this paint. I think that would have been a great project - a "history of" paint set.

Maybe we can convince some of the better painters out there to help out. foof.gif

This is "Katy's" birthday suit.
