I've found a reskin of the "3DTrains Demo F-unit." (Specifically, Cotton Belt F7A 306). The readme calls me to copy the shape file F7A.s from the demo installation, and then to rename it, etc.
My payware locos are V4 and have no file of this name. What VERSION of the 3DT F-units has the correct shape file for this reskin? And where is it to be found?
And to honest, I'd rather not install another set of freeware locos just to get the shape file.

Could you give me some more to go on like where you downloaded it from, maybe how old it is. That would give me a better chance to answer.

There is a free version of the Fs without cabs/sounds, that might have it.
Without knowing what version the skin was for, I can only guess that it was for my older v1/v2 sets. You can download a free copy from the obsolete page which contains the shapes you might need:

More detail on the Cotton Belt F7A reskin.
The file cb306.zip is dated 08-04-2001, and includes ace files named like F7APh1t.ace.
The letter t changes to a, b, f, g, n, and p to complete the series of files.
I've tried the obsolete version 2--unsuccessfully. Does anyone still have a V1??
And for what it's worth, I had this loco running a few months ago, but lost it (and others) when MSTS blew up on me, taking part of my hard disk with it. No-o-o-o-o, I did not have it backed up.....That was my wife's first question.

It is possible that the East Metro F7 is the version you want. I think it is version 2 though. It has the .ace files through "p".
