I have had a number of problems with the software resulting in having to un-install and re-install on a few occasions, partly due to errors on my part. However, since my latest re-installation, I have noticed that there are no vehicles moving on the roads or waiting at level crossings. I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it. Can anyone help an "oldtimer" to fully enjoy his passion, "playing trains"?

Check your in-game graphics settings under "Advanced Display." I think you'll find that one of the sliders has moved down a notch.
