I have come to the conclusion that Canton is not complete yet as the steel mill part is still missing. So what is the latest on the steel mill?

I still would like to see the following for the Steel switchin when the time comes.

The Steelmill is still under constuction. Its taken a while but this is really my "pet" project and represents years of research so I'm taking my time and doing it Right as I want it to be an order of magnitude above and beyond any current heavy industries.

Also, October was a slow month for me as far as progress on my Models goes due to numerous appointments and a disability hearing that I'm still awaiting results on.

Currently, I'm working on support buildings for the steelmill including a powerplant with substation and pollution control equipment as well as a Water treatment facility that includeds a pumphouse, storage tanks, Clarifiers for removing impurities and a cooling tower.

The support buildings were initially supposed to be quick and simple projects but once I got into them, I decided that they had to be done right and have become impressive models/industries in their own right. The powerplant and Electrical substation may also be useful for Rich's new Cumberland route which is centered around the Coal industry.

You can see some progress photos at the new All-Aboard forum that also includes a dedicated LHWfoundries message board for discussion and progress reports on my steelmill and other projects.

Check out the "Early preview shotz" thread for pix of the steelmill and under "Power plants and Electrical" to see the new support buildings/structures.
