I just downloaded ProToolz and even after going through the documentation for the switch template (3 or 4 times) I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. I follow the instructions, but as soon as I delete the template, the 2 sections of track on the switch point connect together and form what I would call a "U" shape. I have experminted with a few things, but I may as well be doing it from scratch.

What am I missing and or what am I doing wrong?

What happens when you zoom reall close before deleting the template?

I think this is somewhat (if not all) related to my problems with the switch template. The rest of the template are really ok. But the switch template somehow does not work. (At last, I'm not the only one)...

The "U" happens because the parts of the template you were connecting to are no longer there. Just connect the track leading up to the switch throat to the spline node in the middle of the U. The switch will reform the correct shape as soon as you connect all the tracks.

I have a fix...Will have to tinker a bit, but it works pretty good. It basically leaves the template in place, but I've set the yellow block to invisible (used alpha channel). A ton of updates needed for ProToolz...Might need some time to get everything sorted.

Marc, take your time sorting out the problems with the switch template. It's the only template I have problems with. The rest do their work very well. I couldn't do without the turns-template anymore !

The switch templet is the only one I'm having problems with right now and I can work around it. I would be nice though if it did work properly.

Thank You all for your help.

It did work properly for the version of Trainz it was designed for (1.0)...Once Auran made changes to how the splines were used, that's when the trouble started.

Cheers!
