Hi Andre
A problem occured riding the Eureka Switcher 2. There is
some terrain on my roads..
I know the problem is well-known but I didn`t change anything
on my MSTS. And before today I didn`t have it ever...
I already de- and reinstalled the A&O but it did`nt help.

Hope you can help me fully enjoying your great route again.

Best regards,

Christian

Hello Christian:

It appears you have New Roads installed into your MSTS.

New Roads altered the height of the default JPRoads system. Therefore, any route built using default standards will have the JP roads LOWERED by New Roads, resulting in the terrain spill over such as you are seeing. (Like or not, the default shapes/data MUST be a standard in order to insure compatibility in all MSTS installs. Add-ons should ADD ON, and NOT REPLACE.)

The most effective way to fix your situation is to create two GLOBAL folders in order for your roads to look right in either a route built with default or New Roads. They are:

* The original GLOBAL folder in place for routes that adhered to the default standard. (All VSC products to date adhere to default standards.)

* The modified GLOBAL folder to be in place when operating a route built using the modified New Roads shapes.

Now, if you did NOT save your original GLOBAL folder before you started adding XTracks, New Roads, My Roads, His Tracks, etc, then you can at least get the default/original JP road shapes by clicking on the pinned topic up above here at my VSC forum.

Sorry for this hassle, but I was an innocent bystander when all this happened. My product(s) did NOT create the problem. I have to do the same GLOBAL folder switching in order to view various routes as they were intended by their creators.

Hi Andre!

Replaced the Files with yours and everything is running propperly again!
Thank you very much for your fast help!!! biggrin.gif

- Now I remember that perhaps our NG caused the problem as my fiend mailed me
a GLOBAL-file for overwriting the old...
...no wè don`t use X-tracks but our own 75cm-gauge rails wink.gif -

I enjoy it always again to ride te A&O!

An Idea: Perhaps the Ozarks Norther RR also as a Diesel-Carrier in the 60ties, too???
-Virtually like the A&O but as an independent Shortline or served by the FRISCO?
Some ruins of old mines ans some still-working and newer industries to serve?
Running on weekends Mixed-trains for hiking-tourists?!-

Best regards & thank you very much,

Christian
