I've downloaded ProToolz and it looks very nice. But I can't seem to get the switch templates to work. I've read the help for it and followed the guidelines, but I can't connect the two piece of track at the switch-spline. The program won't let me. Am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks in advance for any answers

Anyone ?

It's just that I can't connect more than one piece of track to the switch... So I can't make a switch.

The tracks that form the interior parts of the switch must be made in two parts (there must be a spline in between them).

Click once to start the track from one interior end point or another. Click in between the points. Continue with a second leg to connect to the other interior point.

Do for both sides of the switch. Now you can use the advanced menu to delete the extra spline nodes.

That's it!

Hope that helps,
Diego

Thanks for your answer dgallina, but the things you mention are exactly what I do. The problem is that the last piece of track which has to be connected to the switchpoint (where the two pieces of track come together) does not accept that last piece to be connected to it. It only accepts one piece of track (which is already there) even with splines in between.

Hope this explanation gives people more ideas.

(Edit: really bad english)

Have you had a look at the tutorials that come with the download? You can find them in the 3DTrains_Docs folder in the Trainz directory.

Cheers!

Yes I have. And I think I've done exactly how it should be done according to the tutorial, but it just doesn't work
