Full Version: Late getting to Thompson

Hey All,

After being an "early adopter" of Canton and Suddenly, I find myself late in the pack getting the Thompson expansion. I took time off from the NJ snow, and "wintered" in FL. A "less than capable" laptop had me "lurking" in the forums .. but unable to do much with the sim.

I've been watching all of the developments closely, and am still quite in awe of the creativity of Rich and all of the "co-conspiritors" on the project. Steel mills .. Cement plants .. cows and calfs and slugs .. I'll have a lot to "ketchup" on. wink.gif wink.gif

Keep an eye out for the guy from "Joisey" ..... I'll be busy ... cluttering up the tracks as much as I can !! biggrin.gif

Bob,

Believe me, Thompson is well, well worth it!!

Paul.

I couldn't agree more !!

Since installing the expansion, I've been:

1. Exploring all the new "turf".
2. Admiring all the new cows and calfs ... (the Garber versions) !!
3. Ducking under those fool flyers at the airport.
4. Buying a few of the new "trackmobiles" at the TS file library for the bigger industries.
5. Trying to figure out how the zoning laws allowed that Biezscak guy to start that scrap yard !!
6. Estimating how many gondolas per week it's going to take to move all that stuff out !!
7. Having a great time !! tongue.gif tongue.gif

Bill, Rich and all,

Here's one from my new favorite place on the route !! rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

The trucks and cranes add to the "rustic" beauty of the place !! blush.gif

Hey All,

Just west of that Biezscak's place !! Now this is more like the bucolic setting that I'd been looking for !! tongue.gif

Cows and calves all over the place laugh.gif laugh.gif There must be a "shaggy dog" out there somewhere .. keeping all those critters together !! And I swear I heard a pit bull in the background of the engine sounds .. down at the scrapyard !! Am I getting too carried away !! cool.gif cool.gif

Regards and Enjoy,

Bob & Paul, nice screenshots - like the tree mods Paul, noticed you have used that brownish one elsewhere, what is it?

Rod,

Go to Elvis Tower Library and download the Australian tree set. There are some real nice trees in there.
JerseyBob
Rod,

Thanks !! On this route, I find it hard to take a bad shot !! Earlier in this thread I'd mentioned that I was ordering Trackmobiles for the bigger industries. Here's a shot of the one at Canton Metals. Enjoy !!

Bill,

Sorry it has taken so long to answer your question. Just saw it tonight. Yes, it is from that activity. I have run it quite often, as well as those from your first batch that you can run on the original unsignaled part of the Canton so that the trains are not fowled up by the signals.

I love your activities and wish that more of the first batch were still usable, or that you had the time to provide some more.

Rich's are good for using the line as the Canton and your's as either CSX, or with a change-out of the locomotives, as Chessie or even B&O.
