Hello All!

As I was working again on the A&O Sub I made some strange
experiences.

It seems as the smaller creeks and rivers are only shown at some bridges
and they`re all finishing without a trace in the landscape...
I noticed such strange behaviour of creeks quite a number of times.
Shortly after the tunnel,
after leaving Eureka Springs and now near Junction.
Does somebody knows about the problem?
Kind regards,

Chistian

In the red circle you see the river at the wye.
But leaving Junction it can`t be found a trace of it any longer...

Here a really wonderfull creek at Eureka Springs...

...and here the End some meters behind the last screenshot.
As I am running on highest possible MSTS settings and use a 3,2 GHZ
Pentium IV it can`t have something to do with my machine.
By the way, I like this route very well smile.gif
Andre did a very good job here creating the landscape and the activities.
Especially the (07) Chewin' Gum & Bailin' Wire Act I like very well! Good job Andre!!!
Real good route! Especially the rocks and the cut are the best detailled I`ve seen so far!
Also the creeks are beautyful but the end of them arrives a bit fast...

Hi Christian:

The creeks are laboriously placed transfers. In most situations, the rapid ascent/descent of the terrain in the StLNA/A&O precludes feasible use of the "water" feature of MSTS. This is common situation among mountainous routes.

Using transfers to portray streams along 30-40 miles of route was something I was not willing to attempt for several reasons, mainly because of time required and CPU/vid resource consumption. I therefore tried to capture a "feel" of mountain creeks at key places. I tried to mute their appearance and disapperance as adeaquately as I could, but as you can see, in some places the ruse is revealed when using very high cam angles that some end users enjoy. (I do not typically use such high cam angles when running train sim, so I did not make allowance for such.)
