Hello All!
I am a Newbie from Germany who did already run his first two activities
on this wonderful route after finishing my Student runs on it.
As I got A&O Sub last Friday I am fearing to run out of acts if I go so on this way!
Does anybody know if there are already some more acts to get?!
Kind regards from Munich, Bavaria,
Christian

Hello Christian:
Welcome!
It is a great route with flexibility for later add-on Activities.
BTW, the first few Activities are sorta "easy", the later Activities don't get easier, they get more difficult as you go.
Thanx to the diabolical Andre M!

On the subject of Activities, I have made a short (35") activity for the T6 #14 and a short work train, as an excuse to be able to "take a drive in the country" when I don't have a lot of time. I may also do one for the RS1.
How can this be distributed to others? I'm on new ground here, so go slow. Do I need to package it as an asv file, or do I d/l the act file? And where do I d/l it?
While developing the activity, I tried a consist with the T6 leading, but cab forward (i.e., backwards). I ran into troubles (wouldn't move) after I set out the 2nd car in the train. Is this an aspect of the MSTS front coupler problem?

I pack my activites using Route Riter. There seems to be less troubles than using the packaging thing in the AE. Plaus you get a used stock list.

Hi all!
Thank you for your replays. Today I finished the next one
Great Job the Ozark Limestone switch.
If anybody knows about selfmade acts like these of fwbryan
please tell me.
A simply wonderful route!
As I am writing by the time on my master thesesis in history I am a bit short
of time building some...
Kind regards,
Christian

fwbryan:
Not to overlook the obvious: If you purchased an early copy of MSTS (Vers. 1.0), have you applied the 1.1 Microsoft patch for Train Simulator? If you purchased Ver. 1.2, you won't have to apply the patch.
If patched/or Ver 1.2, then it sounds like you may have used the independant brake to stop the cars, cut off, then recoupled... and the brakes won't release. Try applying some train brake then release. If it is this "quirk" that MSTS has, then applying/releasing the train brake should release your brakes so they can be moved.

Hello andre
I can reverse the shape file for one T6 , work better in reverse for switching
I just make the test and work fine except the inversion of forward and reverse

Gaetan:
A reversed player engine will require a new cabview? An accurate cabview for an engine operating in reverse will require the use of F5 x 2 to run the train for you will see no dials/gauges in a reverse cabview?

Do you suppose they have a front coupler problem too?
Gbel2001
Feb 22 2005, 3:45 PM
No because the nose is the rear of the engine

When did you take that photo? From the trackage in the area there at the UP/A&M interlocking I can tell it's rather recent...last couple of years.

Zack,
I will not take credit for something I didn't do. If you look closely, that photo came from Railpictures.net and I am not sure of who the photographer was. I just saw it over there and thought that it was a good example of what was being discussed here.
Paul
Ok, just went back and looked. Says the photographer was James Jackson.

Ok Guys found solution
shape of T6 number 18 reverse , no problem for coupling with the nose , problem is coupling at the rear now
but for switching is better , i change only the 18

One question Gaetan, where did you come up with the #18 on your sim? I'm assuming you repainted one of your custom locomotives. I know that the #14 is the only T-6 on the route Andre/Gaetan created for the world of train sim lovers to enjoy.

Hmmm...
You know, I should'a mentioned those extra T6's in my documentation.
I only used 14, but 18 was also running around on the A&M in '88 as I recall.
