How's the route looking for a Friday release? Just wondering. Not trying to pressure you or anything. I'm sure you have enogh pressure from working with those signals! laugh.gif Seriously I hope everything is coming together nicely for you. smile.gif

Heya, no problem. I actually put up a post to this effect in the Thompson Update thread but it's kinda buried at the end. I wrote this yesterday I think:

"Ever since January it has been one distraction after another and this week was no exception. If it wasn't one thing it was another. Well, I think we've turned a corner here and while we're not completely done on my end, it's really really close. To say how close I would say that it's a few small easy objects away, a few activities and a few touch-ups in the Thompson manual. Oh, and that blanket snow texture thing too. All piece of cake stuff. But even with being that close to being done I'm toying with releasing next week about Friday. This will give me time to get the website updated and the paypal/swreg stuff taken care of without a rush. I'll let you all know what I decide."

The route as it stands now is pretty much done except for a few activities and the blanket snow textures. I'm real bad to tweak a scene or two if I see the opportunity. After months of fiddling with objects and placements it really is hard to 'just' stop and leave it be. There's a certain mental fatigue too that creeps in where you feel like you're working just as hard but less and less is being accomplished. So unlike with Canton and Suddenly where I pretty much worked right up to the end I want to this time double-check everything is as it seems. The big adjustment at the end in which we brought in the gravel mine and scrap yard also brought in other new features like Bill's trucks. And we had some explosive creativity in the animation department by Ed Hawkins and Dick Cowen that truly spiffy's up the route. So basically this is the eve before opening night and the last dress rehearsal is taking place and everything so far is looking real good.
