Hi - i am new here in this forum. I had MSTS installed on W98 - no problems at all. Now I have upgraded my system to Windows XP prof - and it's no more possible to make inputs by the keyboard!!!!! I can't even close TS - i have to do it by CTR/ALT/DEL!!!

Is this a known issue? Is this caused by XP??

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Welcome to the 3DTrains forum Peter! smile.gif

I have XP here and have no trouble with most of the newer software. The only issues I've come accross are that of older programs...Sometimes the focus to the program doesn't appear until I actually click in the program's window. Other than this, everything else seems OK. Have you installed all the Window updates since installing XP?

Cheers!

Hi Marc

Yep - all updates are installed. The strange thing is - a friend of myne has exactly the same troubles - he also installed XP...

I am also using MS Flight Simulator very extensively (online-flying) and there are no problems at all!

When you are running keyboard software (like multimedia keyboards have) try to exit it and see if it helps.

Mine for example, will minimize MSTS constantly until I shut down my multimedia keyboard software.

I'm running MSTS and XP Pro too...

Take Care,

Dennis
