Ed,

Try downloading the CIT (Canton Installation Tutorial) from here (see top sticky thread) and make sure you have all the packages you need to install. First is Canton. Second is Suddenly. Then you need the two rollingstock packages that you can download from either AVSIM or Train-sim (check CIT for filenames). If you have installed all four packages you shouldn't get an error.

There is no password for the gp20.

If you're still having troubles after following the CIT, holler again. The whole gp20 password thing has me suspicious. I just helped another customer the other day by sending him a link to winzip because Windows was opening up its own extractor looking for a password when there isn't one. I'm just curious if you're experiencing the same thing.

Thanks for the reply Rich. I downloaded all that was on Train-Sim (51 files) will start over tonite.
Will use your installation guide to do the reinstall. Are you make a CD with
everything on it?

Thanks, Ed

Heya Ed,

If you mean is there a Canton-Suddenly CD, yes. Same price as the download version and $5 shipping. But you'll get the download version working, no sweat.

Ed,

STOP!!!!! 51 files is too many. Follow Rich's advice and read the Canton Installation Tutorial COMPLETELY. This route and all the activities for it are simple to install. As Rich said, the GP20 does not require any password, so something is not right here. Are you using WinZip to upzip the files? The default Windows XP unzip utility is no good only use the latest version of WinZip. If you still have problems after reading the CIT post back.

Thanks Ken!! Oh man I missed the 51 files part completely.

Yes Ed, that's way too many. First things first. Follow the CIT and make sure you got the right filenames. In fact, let's do that right here.

First you want to install the Canton file.

Then, install the Suddenly file.

After that to get the route working, install the two rollingstock files. And from Train-Sim they are:

Ctnrov3a.zip
Ctnrov3b.zip

Once you have those four files installed, go ahead and run the route. Check out a couple of activities. Then... download the route upgrade from this forum...

Upgrade for Canton-Suddenly

This will be your basic Canton-Suddenly.

Now, what to do with all those other files. First, separate the ones you just installed from the rest and put them in a safe place. Much of what you downloaded is probably on page 6 and is the obsolete files. Some maybe Henri's activities or like the gp20 you downloaded and are still useful. You can always ask here which to keep or not.
