Well some have been asking of late where the 90s and 80s are...well currently they are just on a few computers until all the minor details are worked out. The cab has been reworked and so have a few other minor items. There might be custom sounds with the release, however more likely they will be aliased to the dash 9 until the sounds are finished.
Here is a shot...we will post more from time to time until they are released

There are also several posts about them at:

Just an added note, last week we receive authorization from CP to offer the SD90 in their colors as well.

I see that the ditch lights will need to be moved for that one...I did send him a few pics of several of those CEFX units that wander near the Roseville Yard. I think 116 was one of them and another was 113.

Wow, that 116 gets around.... From Canada to California.. from Washington State to Testing on Vermont Railway

Wonder how many miles that critter has on it.

For the last month or so there has been a set of 3 units in the Roseville Yard, 2 are CP (1-AC4400 and 1-SD90) and a CEFX SD90. For some reason they are always kept in the middle of the yard, in a place where it is difficult to get a camera on them.

What are you saying? us UP guys don't like foamers, I just got home from a run and saw the same guy about every 10 miles all the way and it is 1am where I live now, night owl, I guess. I'm just messing around, being a foamer is fine, I'm an engineer and a foamer, you would think that I would be sick of trains by the time I'm done working, but obviously not.

Heh, nah, it was meant as a joke, goes around each time somebody says a railroad likes to hide the exotic power

when I went to Altamont in Essex... 70% of those that attended worked for the railroad in some way or fasion, met alot of cool people there

I know what you mean by Night owl though , I make it a habbit to railfan late into the night , a few weeks ago it was 12:00 midnight and I chased a train up into the RR Crossing and it had a CSX in it's almost Pure UP Lashup

Well any time something of interest is in the yard they hide it behind either a bunch of dead units or freight cars that are on the way to the scrapper. I find it rather frustratiing, but I am sure they are just doing it so the roads are not clogged with railfans.
I find the same to be true with the SP AC4400CW's that are still unpatched. They hide those behind all the UP units on the ready tracks. All that is visible is the roof.

the SD-90 looks somewhat like the Dash-9. What is the difference?
forum1
Nov 18 2003, 2:04 PM
Mainly more power, it is also more high tech even though it is a POS. I hate driving those things they run really bad.

Not to mention that the SD-90 is a product of EMD and those Dash 9 rattlecans are a GE product!

I think he was referring to the SD90 as a POS not the dash9.....

Any Idea yet as to a time frame for the release of the SD90 Mac's.The original post about them was back in late July. I for one would not mind if they were released without their new cabviews and sounds or whatever else you are adding to them Kyle. Updates for the engines could come after we have bought them.
Would be nice to be able to purchase these awesome engines for Christmas!
Thanks Roger

I don't know much about what needs to be done with the models/skins, but I do know that Kyle is waiting for me to get the audio finished. Once I'm actually able to get started on it it should go by rather quickly. So, just know that it won't take too terribly long for me to get it to him.

Roger,
last week he was working on several changes to the shape file one of our sources said needed changed. He is trying to get everything accurate so no one has a complaint about something.

What's all the sniggering and giggling about? You guys know something I don't.
Sure hope these 90's are available soon. Looks like it'll be a race between these and Danny Beck's awesome SP power.
Fantactic job, people. This hobby just keeps getting better and better!!
