Remember all this talk on my part about how geniune Ozark folk are a very rare breed, and getting harder to find by the year? That is, over the past few decades, oodles and gobs of transplants from other states have moved into many of the Ozark regions, and insist on changing it into something more like where they came from. Thus, the original Ozark culture is slowly being lost. (Curious: If they LOVED where they came from so much, then why did they leave it?? Go on back, we won't mind at all!
Well... then I find this family in northern Arkansas on Youtube. Seems these fine folks are keeping the Ozark culture alive and well in most respects, specializing in mountian music!
I clicked, I heard, and IMMEDIATELY I thought: "Now THIS is Ozark Northern music!!"
Wonder if I could talk them into making some sound loops to place on my Ozark routes?
