NOTE: This is quite "Off Topic", in regards to VSC products... but hey... what can I say?

Remember all this talk on my part about how geniune Ozark folk are a very rare breed, and getting harder to find by the year? That is, over the past few decades, oodles and gobs of transplants from other states have moved into many of the Ozark regions, and insist on changing it into something more like where they came from. Thus, the original Ozark culture is slowly being lost. (Curious: If they LOVED where they came from so much, then why did they leave it?? Go on back, we won't mind at all! rolleyes.gif )

Well... then I find this family in northern Arkansas on Youtube. Seems these fine folks are keeping the Ozark culture alive and well in most respects, specializing in mountian music!

I clicked, I heard, and IMMEDIATELY I thought: "Now THIS is Ozark Northern music!!"

Wonder if I could talk them into making some sound loops to place on my Ozark routes? tongue.gif Be kinda' evocative to be toolin' along on the Ozark Northern... and pass a quaint cabin out in the woods with music like this coming from it! Too cool.

I happen to be one of those transplants but, I don't try to change much, I just do my best to stay outta the way. smile.gif

Glad you enjoyed it!

Bless your heart, you live in the Little Rock area. THAT place REALLY needs some changin'... so hope you'll do it some good!

Nice cut! Yup, those folks are the real McCoy. They remind me of that album I was telling you about from 1968.

Not a lot different than Kentucky Bluegrass. Just add a "banjer".

Brings back some fun memories of growing up.
