Hi Guys

I have bought this scenery pack and have done the installation. Cant see any upgrade of vegetation in any route. Does the installation affect all the routes or does one have to do something special in order to get the results one expected..in every route?? Is this pack installed in say a "GLOBAL" file or not?
The same applies to the Trainset I bought from 3DTrains. It does not show anywhere. Do I have to tick the asset box in every route to see the Locos. Some of my routes (Castle Rock) wont allow me to edit as the "EDIT" key is not active and I cant activate the asset in this route. What have I done wrong.. Help please. Have spend a lot of money on purchases which I cant enjoy... Thanks

The Rural Landscapes / Scale Road packages are not "global" upgrades. They are only a pack of assets to be used by route builders. So in short, no - you won't see any difference in any of the default routes.

However, some route builders are using them (like Mr. Garber) so you'll get benefit there, and if you have any desire to tweak or build your own routes, you can use these awesome assets to add to it.

Thanks Plethaus for your feedback. I am actually dissapointed that these packs cant be used as "global upgrades" as that was the reason I bought them in the first place. You have made us aware to think twice before buying add on packs in the future.. Any suggestions as to how I can use these packs in any roure or scenario?? otherwise this sale would be without any benefits to me as the end user.. Thanks again for your response..

Corrie,

3DTrains and other scenery providers devise it this way because in a Global file, you create a route of North East for example, with cactus and other plant life not indigenous to the area.

Marc's scenery obviously depicts terrain of the west and south west, which you can easily add to your Cajon and Castlerock route, much like adding locomotives and freight cars. And place your choices exactly where you want.

And yes, the ticking of boxes of each brand name is required, I have noticed once I tick it, it stays this way in subsequent sessions.

Castlerock, my recollection, to activate any Roam or Scenario, enter via World Editor (in the lower middle on the right) and then you can unlock each Roam or scenario, then save, that setting will be maintained until you wish to alter it later for security.

Hope this helps Corrie! smile.gif
