I really enjoy the A&O Sub route. It is a simple route that is surprisingly hard to run. Seems like you are always going either up-grade or down. Usually against your wishes.

I have been running it as part of the L&N (as if the Ozarks were the Smokies).

Maybe we can get a thread going on how others run it.

Hi G10!

Very glad you enjoy the A&O Sub. An A&O thread would be cool.

BTW, the forum issues caused your pic to be lost. Mine reposting?

Here are a few pictures of the A&O a' la L&N

That L&N sign is the only modification I've done to the route and is pretty much the extent of my re-painting skills.

The entire roster is 3 C420's (including the one Monon High Nose), an RS11 and two RS3's. All Gaétan's - Can't go wrong with a good thing.

Is there any greater pleasure than sitting on a hill and watching the world go by?

Thank You-

I went back and re-did that sign and made it a community service board. Great PR move, eh?

Nice!! The L&N was a very interesting line. Really liked their rails in the Apalachians(sp?).
