For those who have purchased our Santa Fe Passenger F-Units, a new update is available that adds several new models and addresses a few issues. A few of the changes include:
- Added "oddball" freight pilot models
- Remodeled ATSF pilots and additional detail
- Updated textures and audio files
For more information and to view new screen shots, please visit the
ATSF Passenger F-Unit product page.
Cheers!

Stupid question, but where do I download these? I've paid for them, but there's no download link, only an obscure reference to "The appropriate product section"...which seems to be hidden extremely well.

Per my email after ordering, I ask that you send me your forum user name so that I can set access to the files.

Ahh, I knew it was a stupid question. My apologies, I'll do that now.

Thanks!

Great!
Quick question; Is the F Series for sale here different from the one included in RW? I am new to train-simmig so I am not keen on all the different types of trains yet.
Thanks, Marc!

The main difference is in the details. We reworked most of the model, including the cab and textures.

... but cabview is still missing very important details. This prevents me of buying this model. Look those cabview photos:

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?...53&nseq=429I hope You'll understand what I mean.
I think payware addons can't have such compromises in quality. The F7 model itself is done very well but please ... fix the cabview. This is unrealistic and makes driving unrealistic too. Everything outside of the window is left out. The same story with default RW F7 units. I was very disappointed when RW came out with this unfinished classic loco model. F7 is a really classic loco and I was expecting better attention to detail. Also sounds were not good.
For comparision it's the best to take two default RW loco models - UK Class 37 and Class 55. First of them has very good and detailed cabview, second one is left like it was in RS. Try yourself and find the difference.

Having sat in both F and E-Units, I can assure you that the view from the cab is exactly what you see in the prototype. The photos you linked to were taken by sitting closer to the windshield, thus you see the top of the nose. By sitting in either chair, and in a natural position, you shouldn't see anything outside below the weather stripping - perhaps the top-edge of the grabs, but certainly not the nose. I checked the eye position of the model (based on my own height of over 6'), and everything is in the correct spot.

Thanks for You reply, Mark. I really haven't sat in drivers seat of those locos ... it just seemed the current drivers view height adjustment is not right because if looking from outer view drivers position in cab seems high enough to see the nose. But anyway ... in many cases I've adjusted the drivers positions myself so I can drive in standing position too (like many drivers do in real-life). For example 1. cabview for sitting and 2. for standing position. Of cause You don't have to provide locos nose in cabview if it's not visible in sitting position because in RW there are only 2 cabviews possible. It's still Your bussiness. But for me it's limitation which is a reason I haven't bought it yet. Maybe for somebody else too. I hope there will be more cabviews in the future like it's possible in Trainz.
Have a nice New Year Eve!
Those are beautiful Marc. The one thing I have always thought your Fs lacked was pilot detail. Very distracting from an otherwise beautiful model. The addition of the pilot details have push your models over the top. Very well done!
