Very interesting post. It makes you wonder what kind of "gems" are out there to find. I walk a "Rail Trail" about 3 times a week out here in Michigan..I wonder what kind of "finds" I could have if I took a metal detector with me?!

According to Fritz, quite a bit! Start searching newspaper accounts for old wreck sites for the most possibilities.

Fritz's finds certainly made me want to snoop around more carefully.

I Hear Ya! I live on an old Michigan Central, NYC, PC Line. Boy would that be neat!! I would feel like I was on the Ozark Northern..for a scrap drive!! LOL!
