This worked fine last time I was on trainsim but now the Metrolink cab-car horn interior and exterior doesn't work. I looked at the .eng and the .sms that the .eng was pointing to. They look fine and the Metrolink one is looking the same as the coaster. The coaster cab-car horn works though. I tried to sub out the horn to the Coaster one but it still didn't work. I also re-installed the Metrolink and Coaster sets, also didn't work.
Any help???

PS: All other sound stuff works fine

Is this on all routes, and have you checked whether it affects the Surfliners? I'm wondering if you've reached a limit to the amount of sounds that can be heard. Are your in-game sound sliders maxed?

Cheers!

My sound sliders are maxed, there are no issues with all other locomotives / cab-cars, and it still doesn't work on other routes. So how do I change the sound limit thing?

I tried something else. Using the Coaster .sms (Coaster one works) and then I renamed it to match the Metrolink .sms and it still didn't work. sad.gif I'll erase everything and start from scratch again for the "Fun" of it...

Well, I now have took about 45 minutes to re-install everything to no avail. wacko.gif I don't know what to do now any suggestions???

Are the horn wav file names in the aliased sound folder exactly the same as the horn name being refered to in the sms file? Is the horn wav file in the correct folder?

Well, before I reinstalled the Coaster / Metrolink set is was the same (after I fixed it) and didn't work. After the newest re-installation like before it wasn't lined up so I just lined it up and it WORKS!!!!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Don't know what happened but thanks!!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Sorry for all of the trouble. blush.gif

Edit: Duh!!! This was the horn the .sms wanted x_ML_F59_horn1.wav and ML_F59_horn1.wav
I had x_ML_ (SPACE) F59_horn1.wav and x_ML_ (SPACE) F59_horn1.wav
Once again Thanks and Sorry for the trouble.

Quick question: do the new coaster sets come with custom sounds?
Hack
The Coaster set uses the custom sounds from our Surfliner set.

Cheers!
