Howdy yall,

Wow yesterday was awsome I decided to go out train chasing and my firend Ben shell and myself and ton's of foamers were out looking for the 844 we started in truckey, CA. and tred throu hundreads of yards to get to summit tunnle to get a good spot. It was more then worth it here are some pics from truckey down Donner Pass. I took all of these pics my self excpt for one that was taken by the engineer of UP1996.

































































and this was just befor Roseville.



I have more from thr rosevill Yard but I need to edit a few of them so i will be posting more soon

Heh I was in Reno for a student engineering competition that day, so I didn't get the chance to chase; thanks for sharing these great shots though; Can't wait to see the train roll through Berkeley!

Well, if you thought 844 over Donner was cool. Maybe you should join us in Niles Canyon on Wedsnday. We will have the SP 2472 and Robert Dollar #3 steamed up at the interchange with the UP in the morning when 844 steams through. 844 will stop for a period of 5-30 minutes for a little PR and then steam off to Stockton. I'll post some more details if anyone cares.

Howdy yall,

wow im having more fun then a can of locomotive grease. Here are a few more pics of 844 this time we find her in Stockton, CA.











Ok yall she will be on route to Roseville, CA. friday 4-24-09 tomarrow and will be there for 1 week so you DO have time to get a few pics of U.P. 844 before she battles Feather River Canyon I am hoping to be out there if all goes well.
