When trying to install the WPFRR, after barely getting started I get an error message as it tries to install the wp3dm_0107.ace file. It says" A decompression error has occurred(#6)".

I turned off the anti-virus program. Just seems to be hitting a roadblock of some kind. Has there been any other inquiries about this happening?

Bad cd rom drive or bad disk.

Yep - bad disc, Bill. I'll drop another copy in the mail.

Hack,

I finally got it to install the whole program. Must have been a tempermental DVD drive. But I have another problem now.

When I go to start the introduction to the route activity, it has created the terrain buffers and continues to load until it hits "establishing world space and content".

Then there are multiple error files like:

Shape failed to load. SR_1tSwt_c_mo6dR.S

and Failed to open shape file.
Global\Shapes\SR_3tStr_c_040m.s.

Has this happened before to anybody? Would this be due to a bad disk as well?

Do you have BIN installed? If not, that might be the issue. I can't recall which shape files failed to load for me when I installed Feather River on my new computer but once I remembered to install BIN, everything was fine.

have it installed. In fact during installation of the route, it gives the option to load it and when I said yes, it indicated I already had a higher version installed(I had downloaded it from the web site).

So no idea now. Should I reinstall the Bin file? Or even reinstall the route? Will wait for more replies to get some kind of consensus

Reinstall MSTS Bin and give it another go. In the event the disc is bad, a new one is on the way.
