just downloaded or&w and when it all loaded and did it's generating terrain buffers thing, it said the file, routes\bodiddly\terrtex\terrain\ace was not found. I went into the routes and looked and didn't see it. what to do? I downloaded all 3 segments one after the other. I am using XP by the way.

If it was build 10 there would be 2 installer files and one patch file. I would suggest that you delete the current install and reinstall the route. Also, since it has been ages since I installed this route I don't remember is there is a batch file to run to copy over textures from the default routes. Also, if you wind up liking this route, as many folks do, go to Rich Garber's site and order the upgrade ($15 I believe) as it enhances the route dramatically and is well worth the cost.

I'm with Ken on this, something must've gone wrong, the route's been out for years - this would be an odd occurrence for the install to report a missing file now. Make sure you go by the install instructions, nothing out of the ordinary mind you. Give it a go again and see if that clears up the problem.

Is this on a Vista machine? Sometimes Vista and batch files don't play well together.

problem solved..it was the bat file. I had it unchecked at the end of the first installer but i'm "back on track" now. Thanks for the input.
