Yep it's a "working" layout. Not so much though in the winter

If I measured and converted right, it works out to about 50' of scale snow. Could be more like 70' of scale snow if I measure from the bottom of the embankment this section of the layout is on.

Oh the joys of being MOW... could you imagine digging that out in real life? I'd prob'ly hand in my papers on the spot!
What is the real depth of the snow, about 12 inches?

From track to the very highest point of snow was about 27". I didn't measure from the bottom of the embankment since it was buried. The snow next to the train in most of the photos was around 18" high. So roughly 34' of scale snow I think? (Scale here being 1:22.5)

Maybe they should have called out the rotary like in years past. But in years past when I've done winter runs the snow wasn't higher then the rolling stock:

Not too well. It does spin, but can only plow very light powder. Part of the problem is it's track powered. This does not work too well on icy rails. I'm converting it to battery power so this might help.

This is about the only photo I have where it's throwing snow:
