The first words out of my mouth almost were, what steel mill? It's been awhile. I'll just repeat again what I said way back then, when it's sent to me I'll send it onto you guys. I finished those additional tiles for the steel mill with scenery a long time ago and have the external part of the steel mill already placed. But the internals for the steel mill never arrived. That and some additional structures he was working on.
Now, when when this came up again somewhere down the road, I offered the fella to even release those tiles himself, with the steel mill, but nothing ever came of that either. Sorry for my part in promoting it but I have no idea whatever happened to LHW since. Last thing I heard LHW were working for SLI or working with them but I never got the details of the arrangement. But that was a couple of years ago and I don't think anything came of that either. I never had much reason to talk to Jason and his crew.
But I have tried calling, PMing, emailing LHW but I get no responses and after awhile gave up which was some time ago. No doubt LHW was the best of the best if not the better of the best when it came to modelers of any type, I was disappointed he couldn't have done more. He understood better than anybody the weaknesses of the sim and the balancing act needed to keep structure polys down for large industries like that. And in execution even with the limitations imposed by the sim, he put out awesome looking stuff.
Beyond that, and I can guess I can talk about it now since it's been so long ago, he was also in an impossible situation. Like all of us he needed extra funds and hoped his models would be a help in that regard. But the number of payware vendors is so small, he really didn't have much of an opportunity. I always encouraged him to seek out employment with the industrial strength pros and go that direction and I hope that's what he did. Somebody had to pick him up or somebody is missing a huge opportunity by not having him on board.

Thanks for the reply,
Yup it was a shame that it could not be completed as it certainly was a great piece of modelling,
Your Canton is still my number one route and i'm still enjoying it,
Cheers.

Rich,
For as long as you have waited for that portion of the original Grove City portion of the Canton, you showed great restraint in your answer. He was also going to release several other structures over at Train Sim and they never came about either even though he had promised them in a few days over a year ago.
