I've been enjoying the UP Super pack but did notice that the trucks and wheels of UP GP40 908 are not animated.

I've been enjoying the UP Super pack but did notice that the trucks and wheels of UP GP40 908 are not animated.

I tested my units (and the tunnel motors) all had the wheels animated. They are a little hard to see, especially on the shady side of the locomotive but they are there and moving.

When you mention the trucks, are you refering to the axle hubs? I don't think they are supposed to rotate (as they do on freight cars and passenger coaches) but I'll defer to Chip on that one.

I find no such wheel lockup on 908, but there is a lack of animation on 1538 (which has the 'M' type trucks.) I'm working on a patch for this, will post shortly.

Here is a patch to address #1538's wheel animations. Unzip, unlock the .exe file with your UP GP38-2/GP40-2 set keycode, and install in your MSTS folder (overwrites gp40_up1538.s).

That's weird, and thanks for the quick fix. Here's a picture of my 908 on a sharp curve.

I'm not seeing any problems with the bogies -- what route is that? I'll try to replicate it.
MaineLines
I can no longer duplicate the problem either. If I remember correctly I was running the 908 with the 1538 trailing when I had the problem (I seperated them for the screenshot) but today they are working fine together at the same location.
