This maybe the only F59PHI you may ever see with phase V logos.

The Amtrak 774 departs for San Diego.

And lucky enough to catch (and ride that train in) the SCAX F40PH 800 that brought me there

Pacific Railroad Society was also doing one of there San Diego Turns with their "National Forum" Pullman which was a former UP pullman if you cant tell already, lol, this one just in from SD on the Amtrak 571 and will go for another turn on the Amtrak 580 / 591

Gave me a tour of the inside...

And here are some WAY better shots of the Parlour Car

So it was then time for me to catch my train to get to the game in SD, Amtrak 578 via Business Class was my choice for this trip. Here we see the engineer going back to work after buying some munchies from the cafe car, lol. We were stuck in Oceanside (already late) waiting for a late Amtrak 583 which allowed me time to get this shot.

And finally (not too late) into SD for the Padres game.

This baby below came earlier on Amtrak 572, (Not 774, my mistake) pennsy Pullman "Colonial Crafts"

Amtrak gets re-fueled and ready to become northbound 587 and the Pullman Sandwiched between a Surfliner and a Coaster. Went of to the game, SD Padres beat the Rockies 3/2 and Celeb John C. McGinley threw the first pitch. Well I can so this was the best birthday I had in years!
