Chip
Just got the UP Super set they look and sound great good detail but not a killer with FPS's. I did notice that # 3801 and 3736 SD 40-2's were missing the MU hoses on the back.

Hi,
Thanks for your feedback. Here is a patch that will replace the missing airhoses on the SD40-2 locomotives. To apply, unlock with your UP SD40-2 keycode and select the directory where your Train Simulator folder is located.
If you downloaded the UP SD40-2 set AFTER 1:09 AM ET, 28 July 2003, then you DO NOT need to apply this patch.
Thanks

Chip,
The UP Supers set is great. The engine sounds are great and the chatter also. The question I have is why doesn't the Dynamic Brake work when you are going in reverse? The Dynamic Brake works fine when you are going forward. Is this the way it is supposed to be? Thanks to making a great set of Locomotives.

Forgot to tell what engines they were GP-38 905 and 293.

Unfortunately the dynamic brakes not working in reverse is an MSTS bug.

Chip,
Ok, I can live with that maybe it will be fixed in the next version

. Thanks for answering. They still are great. Finally heard a Locomotive that really sounds like a Diesel Engine.

Chip,
Does that mean that if you had a consist of 4 hood units with 2 forward and 2 reversed then you would only get the dynamic breaking of 2 engines?

No, you get none. I tried all kinds of combinations when I was doing "Doubling the Hill" activity for Raton Pass V1.

I was not quite clear. I meant if you were going forward with the consist I described, would you get the dynamic breaking power from the reversed engines?

yes you get it from the reversed engines, but when the controller is in reverse you get NO dymanic braking, no matter if any engine is turned around. It is hardcoded into MSTS and would need to have the main code redone for it to work.
That explains why a couple got away from me and i had to jump off before they hit the bottom
Now Chip- When are you going to get SWREG so those who hate paypal, or those of us who paypal hates can get your stuff.. I want this UP Set, and the tunnel motor set.
