Hey Chip, Im looking around for a good '35 model to slap some NYC paint on, Seeing as you just released v2.0 of the '35 demo I have some Q's

1. Are reskins allowed?
2. Alpha-able parts? (The ATSF air conditioners, Antenna)
3. NYC is the best RR, and you know that right? cool.gif
4. If i do reskin the model, I can upload it to T-S, with the .S? or will users have to d/l the demo for the .S

Looking forward to your reply

1. Sure, reskins are allowed. I am putting together a repainting template package and will release with the next site update.

2. In short, I generally disfavor alpha parts. I will however be releasing a couple of 'plain jane' versions to boost the painters; otherwise superdetailed units with all the right details will be offered in upcoming Super Sets.

3. Some boys from Altoona may beg to differ:

(That's not to say I won't look forward to your repaint!) wink.gif

4. The same rules for version 1.0 apply to version 2.0, so the freeware version may be redistrubuted with your skins, as long as credit goes back to Dekosoft Trains.

cheers,

Sounds good to me, will look forward to the plain jane version. poor NYC has to be the most neglected RR in the train-sim library, not a single geep to be found anywhere sad.gif
As for the Pennsy, I never really cared for them, I've always been attracted to NY RR's (NYO&W, NYS&W, NYC) Go figure.

Chip,

How about a BN Superpack (BN/CB&Q/SLSF/GN,etc) ????

If it is a BN super pack, don't forget to include FW&D.

How could I overlook them? Did C&S have any?
