REALLY nice work crew. Looks very good. Shame about the roadname. wink.gif

That reminds me, I need to get over to your place now and pick up a set of the current version 35's so I can have them on hand for some of the older skins.

Off we go, plastic in hand!

Chip,

Looks great can not wait to get them. The Road Name looks great to me but then I am from Union Pacific

biggrin.gif Looks great! Love the idea of road packages rather than model packages - we all have our favorite roads and it is nice to be able to get an assortment of locomotives that will/can be used together (any chance of a D&RGW pack in the future?).

P.S. Is this set coming before/after/same time as the CSX pack?

I see them on Cajon and TP2. And you guys know I am not a fan of UP.

Chip,
Way to go. I have been using all the Dekosoft UP/SP/DRGW units on TP2 and Cajon. I also have the 3 BN and 1 ATSF SD40-2 in continious service on these routes. I could really use the additional UP units, especially the SD40-2's. I think "western power" is in demand for these California routes. On a side note, I would like to more ATSF SD40-2's and some "snoot" units. I also think Dekosoft should do a SD50 and standard cab SD60 in UP and MP. It seems this would be the natural progression as Dekosoft had most of the SD's covered up too the SD40-2 and SD45T. I own all your stuff and look forward to more.

Thanks

Thanks for all the responses -- a couple of points:

* The CSX set is still on target for late summer, more news will follow after the UP set launches by mid-July.

* Once again, we've always got some projects in the works and plans to expand the line (how I'm tempted to put up screenshots sometimes...) but to do it right (or at least do it better, which is my goal) will take some time. Keep your suggestions coming though, I'm listening!

Back to the workshop I go! wink.gif

cheers

SP SD40R's? That would be good. biggrin.gif

Chip,
I see by the road numbers that you will do a SD40-2s. That is so cool! biggrin.gif

Eagerly awaiting Paypal poised.

Hey Chip,

If you have to do a set on that yellow stuff, (sorry, some fallen flag holders never give up) Are there any plans to do some in the late 60's schemes with silver trucks? It would be great to have some from the days when UP was just a visitor. lol

Thanks Tom

(sorry if i made you yellow guys mad) lol cool.gif
dekosoft
Tom,

You didn't make us mad. smile.gif

As for future expansions, it's really your choice! Really, it'll depend on how well the first set is received. If people hold a grudge and shun the UP, then we won't continue -- I try to put out what people like, simple as that. On the other hand, if users like the set, as I think in many ways it's an improvement of our earlier work, and one of the best we've done so far -- then we'll further develop; we have some ideas floating for bonus models. I confess that I myself was ambivalent at first but have come to appreciate the finer things the company represents -- after all, the UP is the largest US railroad and has a wealth of history and astute management behind it. From a modeling standpoint, I see how many interesting locomotive types they've owned -- it's a bountiful road. And finally, in the near term, we're looking at creating new sets based on the heritage UP properties, so you can rest assured they won't be forgotten, either.

cheers

Chip,
Its great to see such a nice responce and in such a quick manner. My coment was only tongue in cheek and wanted to make sure all the UP guys out there wernt offended. unsure.gif I will be one of the people who purchase your UP set just to help support the effort as i know that will produce the efforts in expansion. You guys do a great job and we are lucky to have have you.
.....now if we can just get Raildriver to make a 8 notch throttle..... dry.gif

Thanks Tom biggrin.gif
Big Zee
Tom,
When you calibrate your RailDriver, as you are doing the calibration for the throttle part, don't move the lever ALL the way into the full position. I calibrate mine so that there is about a 1/8" gap between the lever and the full position. Then, you will get your notch 8 when you use it in MSTS.
