Have you tried setting brakes on cars you are trying to uncouple from?

The front coupler problem is a known issue with MSTS. Ron did however, outline a way to uncouple the cars from the front - instructions for which are in the readme files.
Cheers!

Whitcomb Fans:
I suggest you take a run to www.train-sim.com, go to the message forum and do a search for "Whitcomb". There is a thread dealing with the Microsoft Train Simulator Frant Coupler Syndrome (as it is called).
In that thread is a segment dealing with the Whitcomb, and a downloadable "Hack" for the .eng file (I think) which may be of some interest and help.

I believe train-sim had a hardware malfunction about two days ago, if you cann locate the thread let me know, and I will email you the info I have.
Be sure to email you address, we do not need a Whitcomb thread here.
