I have download the locomotive:
"Union Pacific F9m" File Size: 10Mb

And I would like to know why is in front of F9m an enormous Snow Plow ?
I would like to know if somebody could me explain to me to what serves this enormous Snow Plow.
Does this enormous object exist in the reality?

If yes which is the function ?

Thank you for your help.

PS: I would like to know if somebody in a link on Internet were I can see photos of this kind of Snow Plow ?

First of all, please do not post passwords in the public forums! blink.gif

The UP F9Am's were retrofitted with the plows when UP's aging fleet of F3's were rebvuilt to F9 specs. You can find pics of the units at the following URL:
