Hi chip,
I was wondering if you had tried anything amtrak, like their passenger GP40s. I can't remember their Exact designation, but they were loosely based on the GP40.

Thanks,
Chris

Actually I've had this standard GP40 in the shops for a while, which I'm preparing for the Roundhouse in May. It represents a terminal switching locomotive of which Amtrak rostered a handful. (I believe they used them to switch Material Handling Cars and such at express freight facilities, but seem to recall reading one was used in a pinch as a helper on a passenger service.) I'm not sure if any are left but I know some went to Helm Leasing (and Phil Andre has created one in his Leased Loco set.)

I've also been tinkering with some bona fide passenger units as well which aren't quite ready for prime time, but plan to bring out in the next few weeks.

Regards,
Chip
