"dcushing" was asking about the status of the FRC and CalP routes, so I figured he was REALLY wondering about the Ozark Northern, and VSC, just hadn't made it here yet.
ANYHOO... for those that care: How will MSTS 2's announcement affect VSC, the ON, and other projects?
Well, the short answer: It won't. I will plug onward.
IMHO, MSTS2 will be over 1 year away AT THE EARLIEST, more likely 2 years.
Kuju Railsim (KRS) will be late in the year, possibly next year.
I am hoping that MSTS2 will be able to import MSTS content into the new sim. If so, then updates to bring them up to the new levels of detail available and PRESTO: More stuff to enjoy in MSTS2.
Sooooo... until I learn more, I will assume there MAY be a bit of backwards compatibility. Is so, then I take it that MSTS2 is a good thing for MSTS. If not... well... we still have MSTS and I'm sure that daring entrepenuers will start over with MSTS2.
HOWEVER!!!!.... I gotta' get the ON finished!!!
After all, there are only 345 days left until Christmas.
