Marc-the new skins look pretty good. Only problem is when you select one it shrinks the screen viewing to about 3/4 of the size across.
I use 1280 X 1024 screen res.

This is actually in the design and is not a problem. If this ends up being a problem for the users they can always select the default skin and get back the appearance they are used to....well, since we upgraded to the newer forum software anyway.

Okee Dokee! Looks like it's default for me. dry.gif

Hawk,
At first, I admit, something didn't feel right about it. But, after using the format for a week or so, it has grown on me. The compact, condensed feel of the forums make it more comfortable for viewing, and access to the essentials (User CP, Messages, Assistant, etc.) are much more convenient.
As a test, select one of the available skins and use it for a few days. Then, switch back to the default and see if you haven't changed your mind. wink.gif

I'm testing out a new version that expands accross the page to 95% width. So far, so good, and if all goes well, I'll simply copy the edits to the current skins. FWIW, it's fairly close to the current size for those running 1024 x 768. smile.gif

Cheers!

OK - all skins have been changed. If you find that the header logo doesn't span as it should (95% of your browser's width - up to 1600 pxels wide), be sure to empty your browser cache and refresh the page. Let me know if you run into other issues.

Cheers!
Marc

OK! You've convinced me Dan. I'll check it out for a few days. biggrin.gif

Hawk,
Since Marc has changed all of the skins to span most of the width of the browser, it shouldn't be a problem anymore. wink.gif

It still looks weird but it's better than it was. unsure.gif
Who knows though, I may get used to it. cool.gif

Think of it as the new pair of shoes you really don't want to break in but just like the old pair it gets better with age,...

More forum skin choices will become available as soon as they’re completed and tested. smile.gif

Todd,
The quote above is from Marc's announcement yesterday. More will come, they just take a little time to get together. I'm sure a CNW skin will eventually make an appearance.

Ah ok thanks Dan! Im sure it will come along with other fallen and current road names
