I've installed the tehachapi exapansion pack, but can't understand why the concrete rail tracks don't show.

Any clues please?

Send picture(s) for the experts to respond......

Hit Shift plus F1 from the cabview may be best plus a high spot shot (F2)!

Engineer status indicates you have good experience, sliders at near if not maximum? How are frame rates? Specs of CPU will be helpful too.

CC Add-on company? blush.gif

Good luck!

All the best,

This is a clear indication that you didn't install the addon correctly. All 6 files must be installed (in any order you wish), and each installer prompts you for the location of MS Train Simulator. Perhaps you selected the 3DTS_TEH2 route, instead of installing to the MSTS directory? huh.gif

Good Morning:

I believe that this is a batch file problem, I have installed the update 3 times and I still have places where the old ties are there.

Here is a shot at Tehachapi.

Hope this helps

Wood ties on turnouts is the norm. Only the mainline track gets the concrete ties. smile.gif

So this is where I have been moved too(good game of hid-n-seek).

Anyway, I'm doubly delighted to say that not only did the concrete tracks appear but the new vegetation, mountains, and everything appeared also. these were very pleasing: very good job there, so I won't be asking for my $20 back after all.

Why did it not work first time around? Well, call me stupid, but the batch file appeared to hang so I pressed that itty-bitty little cross to terminate its existence. Anyway, I waited the next time I re-installed, so everything is OK.

You wouldn't be the first. I think I'll remove the "Q" parameter in the batch so folks won't think the file went to sleep. blush.gif

Hi

I updated yesterday and I also saw some glitches where it didn't appear to install correctly the first try with lockups and crashing (MSTS).

I ran all six installs a second time and now all appears ok. I did nothing else but rerun them, changing nothing else. To avoid errors, I pasted the path name all six times to avoid path errors (first and second time). I am running this route as a standalone route (no other routes accessable) and at first thought perhaps I needed default routes accessable for file transfers but I'm now assuming this wasn't the case.

I'm use XP Pro and wonder if this might be a problem I've seen others mention where XP manages to not fully complete installations and trying a second time solves the initial problem(s). This route isn't installed on my "C:" drive; perhaps that could be the problem?

I like the improvements and with all MSTS graphics options enabled and all the graphics sliders at maximum except 'World object quality' which is at 2, I'm seeing quite reasonable frame rates and see no real problems approaching The Loop, at least from the Marcel end.

Nice job Marc and testers :-)
