Tim: Funny your should post pictures of "Old Maud", I D/L'd her on 12/31 and have been running heavy freights thru Tunnel and up Seligman Hill ever since! She's become one of my favorite steamers for the StL&NA because it eliminates helpers, and double-headers up Seligman Hill. Hung 20 loaded log flats on 'er and she walked right up "the Hill" at 18 mph. Comparing the StL&NA Ten-Wheelers to "Old Maud" is like comparing a sports car to a bulldozer! Very HEAVY controls, but that also make 'er easy to run. Jus' get 'er up to 15 mph, give 'er full throttle and 30% cutoff, then sit back, put yer feet up on the backhead, and enjoy the ride! And watch Clyde the Fireman shovelin' like mad! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

QUOTE Any sissy kin' pull the loud handle on a big hog an' pull stumps. It's that what Diesels are for? Sound like a bulldozer when they are pulling. Come to think of it, ain't bulldozers good for pulling stumps as well? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I almost forgot to ask...for an eletric line, I haven't seen any high-speed interburans for the run from Seligman to Eurka Springs/Berryville. They were across the stateline in Kansas a little later in time from Erdna's orginal North Arkansas time frame. Erdna and I had a friend several years ago that ran those Kansas Interburans, the stories were very interesting to hear.
