Hello, I am the newest member to this forum and an infant virtual train modeler (or should I say a wannabe). I have been considering modeling in G scale and going with live steam but have been discouraged due to lack of space and other resources ($$$). So, I will move into "V scale" modeling for now. I hope to learn the pros and cons of MSTS vs Trainz software and which is most popular. I know they are not compatible and I hope to colaborate with others on a project at some point. TIA

As far as I know, MSTS has far better graphics and more train add-ons.
I would go with MSTS, the quality of some vendors(including 3DT) is outstanding that I don't think Trainz can match up to.

I agree, MSTS is far better in many ways than Trainz. I have both simulators and the realism and graphics quality is far better on MSTS. I would definetley buy Train Simulator.
