I am having a problem with finding missing folders & files.

For example I try to start a new activity that I downloaded. For example, when I start a new act, I get a pop up ---

Error reading database file
File:Trains\Trainsets\WVSTD\WVSTD.wag

I went to AVSIM Library and could not find the folder I need. Is there a way to find the missing folders ?

The zip folder is oractsd3.zip and has 5 activities. The 1st apk file was Besco Switcher and it works. The 2nd apk is ORW Div Local and requires the WVSTD wag file.

Any help on how to find folders and files would be appreciated. Thanks

When all else failed, did you try reading the Readme? If you did, you would have found out that wvstd.zip was included with the activities...

"There are two cars you’ll need to add to your roster to run these activities. Both are included with these activities, with the designer’s permission!

wvstd.zip A West Virginia and Ohio caboose. I couldn’t find an OR&W caboose.
ohiopcar.zip An OR&W passenger car.

Follow the instructions that come with the readme file to install each of these two cars."

Hi Bill,

Yes I did read the read me files and have installed the 2 zip files and the con. file. I have been around long enough to read and even copy the readme files. I will redownload and reinstall again. Maybe something fell thru the cracks. Maybe the problem is my age. Turned 83 last Tuesday. Thanks

Bert

Usually the best thing to do in something like this is to contact the author, but with years inbetween the release of the activity and now, I wonder if that person is even still around. In my opinion the best experts on Ohio Rail and the many activities released for it (outside of my own) is the OVS guys. They've pretty much run them all and maybe they can help.

Do not know what went wrong on my last reply. I deleted the act. and redownloaded and installed and now the act. is working. Thanks
