Hello 3D-Train's Team!

I was just passing threw the forum's, Was wondering if anyone from 3D-Trains(maybe Marc) had any kind of news reguarding the site and the production of Railwork's stuff. I noticed thing's have been quiet as of late. If the team still has an interest in RW, I was curious as to what 3D-train's wants focuse on in RW, Route building or Rollingstock? any news?-----Justin (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flowers.gif)

And Marc shouldn't reveal his projects, giving estimates of release dates, etc., suddenly he gets fifty requests yelling:

When?

All such does, gets him and team further behind.

Paradox - no?

Just teasing all!

But this should be known, Whatever he does release, you can bet that he will then be very busy filling your orders.

If any of you would like to ask if he could "develop" this or that, specific requests, gets enough of them, guess what may happen?

Allow me to begin and ask Marc to add to: Member Wish List Project:
  • California Zephyr for RailWorks2;
    Denver Zephyr for RW2;
CB&Q Route from Chicago Union Station to Aurora, IL of the infamous three track Race Track Alley of RW2.
Marias Pass Route (like TS) for RW2.

Clickity-Clack,

Peter

Here's a few hints:
  • The route contains two Class-1 railroads working in unison
  • Both passenger and freight trains are featured
  • Contains three fair-sized yards and crew change points
  • Most trains require helpers up and down the grades
  • Contains four active branch lines, two of which are fully modeled
  • The route has been a major corridor for over 100 years

Cheers!

definatly a route that will be a must have! this will be a fun guessing game to find out where the route is! of course you guys won't tell untill later just to buld the suspence! but thinking about your past stuff for MSTS i am thinking that it is from the northwest end of the US or Western Canada. so if i am correct it must be somewhere in the rocky mountains. hmmm, so many possibilitys! could it be BNSF/UP or maby something older? (i hope so, i love older western routes!) wow, there i go again, talking way too much. well good luck on this route! i can't wait.

I hope it's not the Feather River Canyon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
I currently develop it for RW: Feather River Canyon - UP's Canyon Sub

It would partly fit the description.
Maybe it's the Cascade Sub? or one of these:North Western Routes

And what's going on with the Bombardier Commutercars? Will there be an update by RS.com?

Class 1? Could you have meant Class III?

Based on the criteria list, this ain't no small railroad company or short line. It has to be a major, like it is an era of FRCR? I.e., WP?
Denver (DRG&W) to Salt Lake then WP westward to Oakland, CA. Three crew changes, about 1,250 to 1,400 miles ought to do it. Maybe thinking two big, that run would take us just a tad over two days, leisurely speeds (under 50mph) or 30 hours of operations. I would be for that. How about the rest of you. Too ambitious? Not for Marc and teams/partners.

Two major RR could mean NP and GN, or M&SPRR and CNWRR? Newer era, could be DRG&W, UP and BN or CB&Q (to allow his newest for RW2 the famous California Zephyr.....my own preferences, not bias am I?

Cannot be UP and SP, 3DTrainStuff has that market tied up pretty good. Could it be AT&SF, and who the second RR would be, vague imagination here guys. Help me! Frisco perhaps. Can't be KSC. (see attachment).

Last statement on the list, major corridor for over a hundred years, screams blank heretofore, knowing Hack, but then his preference of eastern Roads, CSX and N&S?

Was Marc instrumental in getting RSC to release the N&S SD70MAc series built and running?

Sneaky, but effective. And still have no idea if even close to getting this.

Like always, have to wait, grunge, snort, fire and fume, shucksaroo.....and Golly Gee Whiz...

I am going to bet 8 bits on my second choice. What do ya say Chief Hack? Close????

Speaking of the Cal-Z, here's another hint...

While the route focuses on a later time period, the California Zephyr had traveled over the route once during the 1950s. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Not that I know of. It was a one-of-a-kind (and very odd) detour, although the background scenery didn't put it too far out of place. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The CZ ran over the CB&Q, DRGW and WP, I think. Running over the former SP parallelling the WP would hardly be a one-off since that's the routing used by the California Zephyr during Amtrak (WP got out of passenger traffic in the late 60s, I think? When the CZ was truncated to Salt Lake). Didn't the MP parrallel the DRGW somwhat, could that be the clue?

I am thinking from Marc's "happened one time", that its the Donnor's Pass Route of SP, as WP often shared trackage rights due to washed out bridges, derailments, etc. hence share this opinion with USRailFan assessment.

Won't ask when, will add to my future budget....with glee.

But Donner's Pass isn't shared by two Class 1s today? It is solely used by UP? BNSF's trackage rights are on the Feather River sub, I think? Besides Donner Pass is out of the question anyway, since it has been the routing of the California Zephyr ever since Amtrak reinstated it, and so it'd hardly be a 'one-off' event

I know there was a short period of time were the ICC forced the CZ to use the SP as access to LosAngeles. I just read about a few weeks ago in one of my Trains (I have the whole library on CD) magazine collection but I be darned if I can find it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
