I haven't around much for a long time, 12 hour days eat up the time.

I am on a project at one of the Gold mines above Carlin, so I am along the UP line everyday and from time to time I am in the right place at the right time.

Nice pictures! Armour yellow and big sky blue goes well together! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) However... I so would prefer seeing SD40-2s and C30-7s... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Let me see about that, if I can catch the local, it is usually powered by 2 SD 40-2s.

Ask and you shall receive - this is from yesterday
they have been doing a lot of track work and Carlin has got real busy. An empty grain train is waiting to head east after crossing over from the WB main. The local is waiting to cross over to the EB main and head west to serve some customers

Attached Image

Behind the local is another WB mainifest

Attached Image

And east of the Carlin Tunnels is another WB Auotrack waiting with the EB empty grain train finally heading east. There was another manifest still behind this one, but I was not able to get a picture of it.

This is from Wednesday

I found a footbridge over the tracks in Carlin

Eastbound Stack train crossing over from the WB main to the EB main, you can see 2 WB trains waiting

This is the first WB - it was an empty gondola/coal hopper/woodchip hopper. It looked like there was construction debris still in the bottom of the cars.

And finally a reefer car train
