Just a common idea to show others what you like to operate on your scale rails (not to be confused with 3DT scalerails (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) )

I have a good fleet of stored locomotives of almost any railroad and model from B&O F7 A-B-A set to a Southern SD24, a AT&SF SD45 to a BC Rail C44-9W. I used to just buy what I felt like getting. But my active roster is being saved for my future layout (when I can finally build a decent one!)

Bachmann:
-CR C40-8W #6104
-CR C40-8W #6108
-CR SD45 #6203

Athearn (blue box specials (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif))
-Conrail GP38-2 #8276 (my first model!)
-Conrail SD40-2 #6408

Athearn (RTR)
-B&M GP40-2 #302
-B&M GP40-2 #309

I also have some misc stuff from my dad's modeling years including Southern Pacific #7399, the SD44R (rebuilt SD45) in the daylight scheme, and some in his fictional railroad. Others include a MEC F3A #682 and MEC SW9 #334. (all of his stuff is Athearn.) He also has probably the first HO GP40X which he scratch built by putting together pieces from a GP40 and SD45 shell on an Athearn frame. Oh. Let's not forget a heavily damaged Rivarossi SP AC-12 cab-forward and my only working steamer, an Athearn Genesis 2-8-2 Mikado painted for Boston and Maine. Which I found funny because the B&M never owned a mike (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Anyway, let's hear/see what you have.

SF GP60B
SF Dash 9-44CW
SF GP40X

Tower 55:
BNSF ES44DC 7789

Figured I 'd come drop in and dredge up an old thread... I've been working on getting a nicely rounded roster for the late 80's to mid 90's operation of my childhood. I've been watching for people buying up collections from estate sells and selling, poking around fleabay, etc. and I've gotten a couple of steals. I am slowly working on the rolling stock to go along with it and I think I may start drawing up plans soon for a layout. I'd like to do my layout in modules so I can start working on it before I graduate.

F40PH (Kato)
P42 (Athearn BB)

all other stuff is SF unless noted.

2x SD75M (Genesis)
1x C44-9W (Athearn BB, would have loved a Kato but didn't want to splurge that big)
1x SD45 (P2K, to be repainted from a CB&Q unit)
2x SD40-2 (Kato, 1 old run, 1 new run)

1x CF7 (athearn R2R)
2x GP7 (P2K, both will be rebuilt into chop nose units)
2x GP30 (P2K)
3x GP35 (Kato, probably will need to repaint all of these units... the paint jobs are pathetic)
1x GP40X (Athearn R2R)
1x B40-8 (Atlas)

I have a Conrail SD60 that I got for a steal DCC equipped that I might keep for foreign power... if I ever build a fairly big layout, I'd like to get some of the other varieties of power that the Santa Fe ran by my home. For now though, I'm just taking my time trying to get everything DCC ready, build cars and get my layout plans formulated. I'm hoping to make it back home to the centex to put some of this power to work eventually...
