Seems longer & longer between updates. Shouldn't someone else at 3DTrains step in to help?

An update is coming, but is currently stalled due to unforeseen circumstances. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

Cheers!Marc

Coming up on a month since your last post, Marc.  Just wondering if we can possibly get an idea as to the coming-update?

No, maybe just an answer.  I understand that things happen in life, but communication goes a long way in helping people keep things in their proper perspective.  Unfortunately, it seems like this route has almost become an afterthought.  I really hope that's not the case here.

Yes I know what you mean. I remember when I bought the route we were told we would get updates twice a week. Now we are lucky to get an update once every 3-4 months. I really don't blame Marc, as unforseen problems always can occur. I just don't understand why he is the only person who seems to be working on the route when he can. Is there no one else at 3DTrains who can work on this while he handles whatever problems he is experiencing?  I for one am not getting any younger and hope the route and activities are finished before I completely lose my eyesight in my one remaining eye. Try and be patient, I want to see this route completed as soon as possible. I'm quite sure the route is not an afterthought.

3DTrains is probably just Marc alone.

The same goes for most commercial providers of railroad sim paywares, one person spare bedroom businesses.

Not based on the site's homepage.  It lists Marc and 7 others in the team.  May not be current, but who knows?  Regardless, my point was just about communicating with those who have purchased the route.  A little communication goes a long way!

Ok, so I guess the website needs revising as well.  I'm sure that's very stressful and time-consuming, running the entire operation. With that said, Marc, and again, being understanding to any outside-events that may have popped up, any thoughts on when the next update may be released?  I think you know that everyone here is very patient and understanding, but communication helps so much!  Thanks in advance.

For all we know it is a burn-out issue, and that takes time to heal.

I agree. But the major difference here is that he has paying customers.  This wasn't a freeware route.  Please understand, I'm not trying to be insensitive, but I think there is some obligation to, at least, communicate regularly.  As I've said numerous times, I think everyone here has shown a lot of understanding and willingness to be patient, and let whatever issues there are, be dealt with.  Again, not asking for much - just some communication.

I totally agree with Mechanic.  We, as paying customers, are entitled to get updates or at least status reports on the project. I bought into this years ago!  It's getting very old. Don't mean to be insensitive toward Marc but, maybe, if the end is no where in sight, perhaps a refund is in order.

I would not want nor expect a refund, Marc has been a great supporter of Train Simming

and I still use a lot of his free stuff.

Now he seems to have a few problems so I for one am happy to support him.

BUT some feedback would be good.

Daniel
