I asked  this question before but I can't find the post I just don't know how to do a search right.

Anyway I know I have to change MilepostUnitsKilometers to MilepostUnitsMiles but I can't find this parameter in the route file (or router folder) for the St Louis North Arkansas route.

Can anyone tell me where it is?

Thanks

Dave

It's in the routes root folder - .trk file.

Thanks DirtyRam

I though I had checked that file but somehow missed it.

Thanks again

Just saw this.  My goodness... it's been FOREVER since someone used this forum!  Note to self: Check this every day.

Dave:

Did you get your km to miles converted okay?

If not, two ways to do it...

Option 1. Changing it manually:

Open the trk file using Wordpad.  Look for the line that reads:

MilepostUnitsKilometers ( )

Change it to:

MilepostUnitsMiles ( )

Exist clicking "SAVE".  That will preserve the unicode. Do NOT use "Save As" as it will NOT preserve the unicode.

Option 2. Changing it in Route Editor:

1. Open Route Editor and select the St. Louis & North Arkansas route.

2. Under the "Route" pull down menu (upper left), select "Properties".

3 In the "Properties" menu, look for the field that contains "Metric" and "Imperial". Click "Imperial".

4. Exit the Route Editor saving your change when prompted.

That's it!

Can't believe I overlooked that detail way back when the little North Arkansas route was released.
